Efficient but Considerate Slurry Spreading

More slurry - less hassle

The SDS 8000 spreader is continuously operating in the fields, whilst the slurry is being pumped directly from the storage tank to the distributor. The average capacity is approx. 150-200 tonnes per hour or the equivalent of 5-6 hectares.

Using the SDS 8000 also removes smell issues from the roads. With an DP/APV pump unit the slurry is pumped directly to the spreader via pipes and hoses, eliminating the need for transportation with tankers on public roads.

Lower costs on fuel, tires and manpower

Because the slurry is being pumped to the field instead of transported on the roads, fuel and tire costs are significantly lowered in comparison to conventional slurrys spreading with tankers.

The entire setup can be managed by just one person, as the pump unit is operated via remote control from the SDS cabin.

In addition, an automatic safety device monitors the complete system, and immediately terminates operation in case of failure.

SDS 8000 Reifendruckregulierung | Tyre Pressure Regulation

Tyre Pressure Regulation

As an option the SDS 8000 can be fitted with tyre pressure regulation. This enables you to reduce or increase the tyre pressure from the cabin. Reducing the tyre pressure makes it easier to operate on muddy fields, because the tyre shape will be more oblonged, giving you a better ”road grip”.

It also helps to reduce the soil pressure per cm2.

Dosage Controlled Speed

The propulsion speed during application is automatically adjusted to fit the desired application rate. This ensures uniformity on the field, avoiding both under- and overdosing.

Select Hose Steering Type

You must select whether your spreader shall be fitted with a crane arm or tail as hose guide.

With the crane you can make use of the most optimum driving patterns. It raises your application capacity, as you reduce your time in the field, and you'll find it easier to avoid overlaps.

The tail gives you more basic driving patterns and simple manouvering in the fields. Using a tail also gives a more gentle handling of the hose, extending its service life. Finally the tail has fewer wear parts hence also less maintenance costs.

System options

Your machine solution can be configured in a number of ways. Contact us to get a tailored solution that suits your need.

GSM communication and leakage detection are solutions that must be selected for all units in your system setup.

GSM COMMUNICATION

If you operate in hilly terrain or are exposed to other conditions that may disturb the required radio communication, the GSM communication add-on is a sensible choice. With the add-on, communication will automatically switch to the GSM-network when direct radio communication is not possible.

Network switch happens seamlessly and is not noted by the driver, and it secures a steady and stable operation.

Leakage detection

The Agrometer machines operate with high pressure and hogh flow. Over time, even a small tear in the feeding hose will create a slurry puddle around the tear. With the leakage detection you can prevent serious consequences that can happen due to a tear.

The leakage detection works by two flow meters that compare the amount of slurry being pumped from the storage tank, with the amount being spread by the applicator. A deviation between the two values triggers an alarm.

Leakage detection requires the addition of GSM communication.
